In Japan people like to dress nicely, usually quite like us. Women long dresses or trousers, men wear suits or casual clothes, and children like to wear multicoloured clothing.

Japanese smart clothes, or "traditional dress", which is worn on special occasions, are brightly coloured dresses or suits.
